Today is our 6th anniversary. I can't believe how fast the years are going by. Here is a recap in photos of our last 6 years.
Our wedding day - June 4, 2005

1st Anniversary, June 4, 2006

Russell was deployed to Kyrgyzstan so my sweet friends in Valdosta hosted a dinner party for me. My cousin Allyson and Glenn came over from Statesboro to join us at the party. The girls used my fine china, ate the cake top from our wedding cake with me and really made my first anniversary special.

We went out to eat this anniversary at one of our favorite Cheyenne Restaurants, Poor Richard's. We didn't know if we would get to go out because I had to work and Russell was hosting a General that was in town for the week. It all came together at the last minute and we were at least able to spend a few hours of the day together.

This anniversary is a fun one! We both worked all day and came home to find our basement flooded with water...and not just a little bit. We had towels and shop vacs but the rain kept coming down. We spent that afternoon/evening using fill dirt (thanks to our friends the Hartley's) to build up around the backside of our house to keep the water from pouring inside. We ate pizza and watched a movie to "celebrate" our 3rd anniversary and prayed that our repair worked.

With my brother's wedding only 2 days away, Russell flew in to GA on the 4th of June. I picked him up at the airport and we celebrated our 4th anniversary with dinner at Houston's in Atlanta. Then we went to my parents to take care of Hank and start the wedding festivities.

We spent our 5th anniversary at the Founder's Inn and Spa in Virginia. We were able to enjoy a nice dinner, a walk in the gardens, and then spa treatments the next day. It was a nice relaxing way to celebrate 5 years of marriage.

So here we are...skyping on our 6th anniversary. With Russell in Afghanistan and me in GA, this is how we are celebrating. My in-laws took me out a few nights ago for a delicious Japanese feast and I'm sure I'll eat something yummy tonight.

I feel so blessed to have been married for the last 6 years. We could not have made it without the love and support of our family and friends. We have had many adventures and are looking forward to many more. Happy Anniversary to my Russell - I love you with all my heart!!!!
